Engagement Ring Cuts

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Tiffany jewelryEven though there are many different cuts available for engagement rings, most couples choose to stick to just a few popular ones.
An engagement ring must look appropriate and be sturdy, so it is often a simply set stone or up to three stones embellished with pave chips. You can be sure of having a ring suitable for wearing to any event, safely mounted and secure during work or play, if you choose a simple, elegant cut that not only provides a strong visual element, but can be securely mounted, even in a minimal setting.

The round cut is the most common of all stones. Many jewelers say that round cut is the best with very best fire and all facets of the stone are taken care of. Surrounding cuts in what are often called “Tiffany settings” or raised prong settings, are the characteristic idea of an appointment ring: a lone stone balanced just higher than the band of the loop with most experience of the sandstone to beam. A nice round stone would appear wonderful in a Tiffany setting. However, there is no place to hide for a small, muddy stone.

Beautiful green emeralds really shine when cut into long rectangles. An emerald cut, though not as flashy as a round cut, has plenty of room to show off a large stone and provides an unusual and exceptionally stately option. A Princess cut stone, with its four-square look, reminds us of stability and security. Prongs will safeguard the corners will solidifying the sides if these linear cuts is correctly mounted.

Although there are certainly other gems, these are the most traditional and popular choices and come in a variety of gorgeous settings. The foundations of most classical engagement ring design can be acquired with a sense of these few cuts.

love of Tiffany jewelry

Tiffany and Co. was made famous by that classic Hollywood 1961 production, Breakfast at Tiffany’s with Audrey Hepburn playing the role of a young woman somewhat obsessed with Tiffany and Co.

Tiffany co. has entered into an agreement with Tahera Diamond company which is a supplier of diamonds. as Tiffany markets the diamond produced by Tahera around Jericho diamond mine, it benefits by getting beautifully cut an finely polished diamonds in return from Tahera. This ensures that high standards are maintained and that client expectations are met.

Of course, the movie isn’t really about her love of Tiffany jewelry’s, but does provide further proof for my theory that American women love tiffany bracelet Tiffany and Co. it’s a pretty good movie should check that, and if you have the money check out something from Tiffany’s for your special girl.

Just like the fake Fendi purses featured in Sex and the City, ladies all around are seeking out faux Tiffany & Co. baubles like it was their job!  The obvious reason would be because you can purchase pretty much the exact same pieces that Tiffany’s features, with the exact same design, for approximately 1/16th the price of Tiffany & Co. jewelry.  However, when scoping out these designer duds, it is important to look for some very important things.

You can wear your metallic gold and silver year-round, every year. However, moderation is the key. tiffany bracelet While it may be in style now to carry a big gold bag over your shoulder, but a smaller gold clutch is absolutely timeless. For other metallic colors, less is more. I can imagine that big gold bag to still be fashionable for a while, but it’s likely that big metallic fuschia bag you have will have a more permanent place-in your closet. Again, clutches are safer.

Tiffany jewlleryIf you know someone that likes dolphins then what better gift could you give them than a pair of dolphin earrings. Made out of sterling silver your lover will really appreciate the time and care that has gone into making this quality piece of silver jewellery.Tiffany is one of them.
Silver has been known since ancient times and has long been valued as a precious metal, used to make ornaments, jewellery, high-value tableware and utensils and currency coins. Mined right back in 4000BC in Turkey which was then called Anatolia, the main source of silver now is from Peru and Mexico. To the Egyptians, gold was considered to be the perfect metal, and gave the symbol of a circle to it. Since silver was the next best to gold in terms of perfection, it was given a semi-circle for it’s symbol. This semi-circle later changed through time and led to a moon symbol, due to the similarity between the shining metal being like the glowing moon light. The Romans gave silver the name of argentum, which is still used today as the international name of the element, from where its chemical symbol of Ag comes from.
